Our senior management team are all shareholders of Fairship South Africa and actively involved in the day to day operations.
We have reduced the corporate “clutter” that has become so common in our industry. While maintaining high ethical, operational and financial standards we make sure that our operations staff are free to concentrate on the operation of the vessels with dedicated staff to fulfill “Backoffice” functions.
We ensure our staff understand that while the quayside operations are our main focus, in many cases the productivity of vessel operations are determined by factors outside of the port precinct and require careful monitoring and management.
We ensure that we have a clear understanding of the statutory requirements for each of the cargoes that are handled under our agency and ensure that we keep abreast of changes to these requirements.
We continue to review our preplanning, operational methods, communications and documentation to ensure that high service levels are maintained.
Our target is to remain a quality driven business by focusing on core business and out sourcing non-core business.
We offer our clientele a level of service that will achieve good turnaround of vessels, which in turn will reduce overall port costs and afford higher returns for our clients.
